The "Moscow Libraries" series of 13 tickets is dedicated to significant dates and anniversaries of poets and writers. Ticket No. 4 is dedicated to Konstantin Simonov (on the occasion of his 105th anniversary).

Konstantin Simonov was not only an outstanding poet and writer but also a war correspondent who witnessed many battles of the Great Patriotic War. His famous poem "Wait for Me", dedicated to his beloved Valentina Serova, became a symbol of loyalty and hope for millions of people. This poem was published in 1942, and its lines provided comfort and inspiration to those waiting for their loved ones to return from the front.
